COVID-19: masks no longer required while travelling
Over recent weeks, the spread of COVID-19 has remained contained, returning to the level observed prior to the fifth wave. Given this favourable context, the Sovereign Prince, at the suggestion of His Government, has decided to remove the requirement to wear a mask on public transport and in taxis and chauffeur-driven vehicles from Saturday 4 June.
Going forward, masks will only be mandatory in healthcare facilities and care homes for the elderly.
The Prince’s Government would nonetheless like to remind people that the use of masks remains highly recommended in enclosed spaces for individuals at risk or during large gatherings, and that health measures may be changed in line with developments in the health situation.
