What is Caregivers’ Day??
Whether you’re a family caregiver or a professional caregiver, National Caregivers’ Day is for you!
Come along and meet staff from the Geriatric Care Department at Princess Grace Hospital, who will be manning various stands and running practical workshops: an occupational therapist, nurse, psychologist, doctor, physiotherapist, speech therapist, social worker and charities will be there to answer all of your questions.
Being a caregiver means offering regular and frequent help to someone who has lost their independence due to age, illness or a disability, to enable them to carry out all or some daily activities.
Whether you’re a parent, spouse or friend, it’s a daily commitment, often carried out quietly in the background but nonetheless vital for the person who you are supporting. It’s a role that demands time and energy, and often leads to the caregiver neglecting themselves.
Are you looking for information, advice and support to help you best care for your vulnerable loved one? Are you directly or indirectly affected by the situation caregivers find themselves in?
Don’t face it alone. Join us for this event, which is especially for you: the caregivers.
Take a little time to get some information, share your experience and find the support you need.
Whether that’s practical advice about managing stress, tips to make everyday life easier or information about your rights, professionals will be on hand to listen and offer guidance.
