Graduation ceremony for the FSI and the IFAS
As every year, H.R.H the Princess of Hanover, patron of the Monaco Institute of Nurse Training (IFSI), graced the Institute with her presence at a ceremony held to award diplomas and badges to the classes of nurses and healthcare assistants, at Monaco’s Vocational and Catering School (Lycée Technique et Hôtelier de Monaco).
Among those present were Mr. Didier Gamerdinger, Minister of Health and Social Affairs, Mr. Stéphane Valeri, President of the National Council and Ms. Benoîte Rousseau de Sevelinges, Director of the CHPG.
In her speech, the Director of the Institute, Ms. Josette Piazza-Cadiou, congratulated the students on their hard work throughout their courses, which consisted of three years for the nurses and one year for the healthcare assistants, stating that "you are the generations Y and Z - you were born in the era of digital tools and digital technology."
Above all, she paid an emotional tribute to their courage, because these students played an active role in helping the CHPG during the successive waves of the COVID epidemic. "You did not falter. You are certainly, all year groups taken together, 'the students of COVID,' but above all you learned to face and deal with many different constraints."
This year, 14 students graduated from the IFSI year group, sponsored by the Léa association, which provides support to sick children and children with problems or disabilities, while nine students graduated from the healthcare assistant class. In total, seven nurses and seven healthcare assistants were hired by the institution after their training. All of them will "represent the values of the CHPG loud and clear," with regard to the rigour and demands of the care professions.
